The event will be taking place on the MIT campus in Building E14, 6th floor (Media Lab, 75 Amherst Street, Cambridge, MA 02139). Anyone with a valid MIT ID can scan their ID to enter the Media Lab. All visitors that do not have MIT building access should follow the directions below to register for an individual Tim Ticket.

  1. Click on this link to register for your individual visitor ID
  2. Click on Visitor.
  3. Enter your mobile number.
    Result: A PIN code will be texted to that number and sent to email on record.
  4. Enter the PIN code sent to your mobile device.
  5. Enter your contact details.
  6. At the Tim Ticket Registration acknowledgment, click on, I’m ready! Let’s get started
  7. Review the acknowledgment form and click Accept.
  8. Follow the in-app instructions to activate an MIT visitor ID

  • Subway: The closest T stop to the MIT Campus is the Kendall/MIT stop on the Red Line.
  • Bus: The 64, 68, and 85 lines stop near the MIT Welcome Center. The #1 bus stops on Massachusetts Avenue, about a 15-minute walk from the Media Lab.
  • Shuttle: The EZ Ride shuttle runs to and from Boston’s North Station, with stops at Kendall Square and around MIT’s campus (Note: EZRide is not operated by the MBTA; fare is $2 cash per trip).

MIT/ Kendall Square parking is very limited, especially due to the on-going construction.  MIT recommends using public transportation whenever possible. If parking is needed, folks can find street parking, which is available from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, or park in one of the public parking garages listed below:
