Neil deGrasse Tyson is the head of the Hayden Planetarium and a research associate of the Department of Astrophysics at the American Museum of Natural History. He has received the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal, the highest award given by NASA to a non-government citizen. Most recently, Tyson hosted Cosmos: Possible Worlds with a strong emphasis on a hopeful future.
